Innovations

SER90, Inc. is committed to finding feasible and viable solutions to your environmental concerns today using tomorrow’s technologies

Our professionals are committed to find, establish and apply innovative approaches to every aspect of service we offer. Our commitment and dedication are supported by quality and professional relationships with selected technology partners such as Brookhaven National Laboratories, Townsend Research Center, Sherry Laboratories, and many others. We provide our clients with monetary savings, eliminating risks and potential liabilities through innovative technologies, approaches or processes:

  • SER90, Inc. is conducting scientific research for a new technology to address the polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) contamination in soil. The PCB Soil Washing technology was proven to reduce PCB levels in soilby 80% to 82% after one wash cycle. Further research and technology upgrade is being conducted by our professionals at this time.

  • Our team introduced Remote Control and Monitoring to new and conventional remedial technologies. Such innovation accelerated cleanup objectives achievement and provided our clients with substantial monetary savings.

  • Our team successfully applied science and practice to bioremediation at multiple projects. We established our own Bio-Phase I and Bio-Works for successful bioremediation. These protocols can easily predict plume natural attenuation or other bioremediation processes would work better for a given site.

  • To bring the benefit of Brownfield Initiative to the private investor, SER90, Inc. established our own program: Innovative Brownfield Management / Property Entrepreneurial Partnership (IBM/PeP). This program is a contractual engagement between Superior Environmental and property owners or entrepreneurial investors on a case-by-case basis according to site or property-specific conditions.

  • Our professionals designed and conducted numerous Treatability Studies in support of some of our clients. Such studies determined viable treatment technology and provided our clients with millions of dollars in monetary savings. One example, our professionals conducted a Solidification Treatability Study for a client in Southern Ohio, which saved $5.0 million in disposal and transportation of PCB-contaminated soil and sludge at an abandoned landfill project.

We believe that in order to innovate you have to motivate. We encourage our professionals to think outside-the-box with continuous technical training. Every team member of SER90, Inc. must complete annually 5 to 7 Continuing Education (CEU) hours in his or her respective field of specialty.
